He will die for lack of discipline and instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he will go astray and be lost.
Core Element:
As simple as it may sound, self discipline is one of the most critical elements in living a worthy life. A life full of significance, distinction and fulfillment for the glory of God cannot fully manifest without self discipline and the ability to follow godly instructions.
Without self discipline and the ability to follow instructions, despite your greatness and amazing destiny, you will go astray and lose in this journey.
In all thy getting, get self discipline and value godly instructions. It is an asset. Set all the goals you want, without self discipline they will remain just goals with no results. Desire all the success you want, it will only end up as desires if you do not listen to godly instructions from elders, parents, mentors, priests etc.
Without self discipline you cannot accomplish God’s plans (Jeremiah 29:11) in your life. Without self discipline, your life will be full of so many impossibilities.
Imagine how pitiful life would be without self-discipline. We would achieve very little despite the beautiful promises of God.
Prayer Point:
Lord, I pray that the fruit of self-control and self discipline will grow in me like a tree of strength. I pray Lord, You quicken me that I will control what I say and do and make them subject to Your spirit. Amen
