According to HBR in 2016, they divided Business transformation into 3 areas.
I strongly think Entrepreneurs and Business Executives should take note of these:-
- a) Operational transformation – doing current things cheaper, faster and/or better, often with the assistance of digital technology.
- b) Operational model transformation – doing what you have been doing but in a completely new way. Also known as Core transformation.
- c) Strategic transformation – fundamentally changing the essence of the business (Institution). Done badly, it’s often called foolhardy or destructive; done well and leads to industry leadership.
